Ethel Lorraine Crisp (nee Rigney), age 96, a resident of Pasadena for 60 years, passed on January 10, 2015.
She was born on December 25, 1918, in Hamden, Baltimore, to the late Elsie and Luther Rigney. Prior to 1945, she worked for Elite Laundry and Coopers Company, then went on to become a homemaker and mother. A member of St. Jane Frances Prayer Group, she also volunteered her time at the school. She enjoyed cooking, reading, vacations, and spending time with her family.
Along with her parents, Ethel is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 51 years: Alvin Chester Crisp, Jr.
She is survived by her two sons: Alvin C. Crisp, III and his wife Sally, and James E. Crisp and his wife Jennifer; all of Pasadena; her sister Vivian Merritt; three brothers: Earl, William "Buck", and Donald Rigney; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Family invites friends to visit at the Gregory J. Gonce Funeral Home, PA, 169 Riviera Drive, Pasadena, on Wednesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM. The procession will leave the funeral home on Thursday at 10:30 AM to go to a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Jane Frances Church at 11 AM, with her interment to follow in Meadowridge Memorial Park.
