Mary Ann Tyson, age 84, a resident of Pasadena for 60 years, died on January 3, 2015.
She was born on May 17, 1930, in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania, to the late Esther and Herman Platzke. After graduating from high school, she married and became a homemaker and mother of two children. She also served as a girl scout leader, and enjoyed quilting.
Along with her parents, Mary is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 65 years: Earl Charles Tyson, Sr.
She is survived by her son Earl Charles Tyson, Jr. and his wife Janet L. Tyson, of Pasadena; her daughter Stephanie McMurray, of Jacksonville, Florida; her granddaughter Terri L. Cook and her husband Guy Ronnie Cook, Jr., of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; her grandson Earl Charles Tyson, III, of Glen Burnie; and three great grandchildren: Alexandria C. Gross, Gracie M. Cook, and Guy Ronnie Cook, III, all of Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
Family requests friends visit on Wednesday at the Gregory J. Gonce Funeral Home, PA, 169 Riviera Drive, Pasadena, from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM. Her funeral service will begin on Thursday at 11:30 AM, with her burial will follow in Maryland Veteran's Cemetery, Crownsville. Feel free to express your condolences here as well.
