Georgia Lee Scott, age 88, a resident of Pasadena for 26 years, died on September 14, 2014 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center after a three month illness.
She was born on November 23, 1925, in Saltville, Virginia, to the late Mary Lou and George "Doc" Sanders. After graduating from high school, she married and became a homemaker, and also worked for National Plastics Company for ten years, performing quality control. She was a longtime member of the Community United Methodist Church, and enjoyed cooking, and spending time with her family and friends.
Along with her parents, Georgia is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 59 years: Glen Scott.
She is survived by her two sons: Glenn Wayne Scott and his wife Pamela, and James Edward Scott and his wife Dawn, all of Pasadena; her two grandsons: Jason Scott, of Pasadena, and John Scott, of Dallas, Texas; her granddaughter Erin Scott, of Pasadena; and five great grandchildren: John Scott, Jr. and Madeline Scott, both of Dallas, Skylar Shriver, of Pasadena, Sierra Scott, of Streator, Illinois, and Emily Hartley, of Baltimore..
Family requests friends visit on Friday at the Gregory J. Gonce Funeral Home, PA, 169 Riviera Drive, Pasadena, from 11 AM until 1 PM, at which time the funeral service will begin, with Rev. L. Katherine Moore officiating. Her burial will follow in Maryland Veteran's Cemetery, Crownsville. Those who wish may contribute to the Community United Methodist Church, 8680 Ft. Smallwood Rd.
