Rose Anthony, age 78, a resident of Pasadena for 34 years, and formerly of Ferndale, died at Baltimore Washington Medical Center on March 11, 2014 after a lengthy illness.
She was born on January 7, 1936, in Baltimore, to the late Virginia and Lester Wroten. She worked at the Maryland State Highway Administration in the sign shop for 25 years, serving as an inventory database administrator. She loved gardening, going to the beach, and watching the Ravens and Orioles play.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 50 years: Craig R. Anthony, who passed away in 2003.
Rose is survived by her two daughters: Sharon Anthony Ehlers and her husband Tom, of Pasadena, and Leslie A. Beardsley and her husband Mike, of Maine; her sister Marion Jones, of Glen Burnie; her granddaughter Tanis Anthony; grandson Nick Anthony and his wife Jenna; and three great grandchildren: Chaya DelaCruz, Jaidin Konarski, and Wyatt Anthony, all of Pasadena.
A Memorial Service will be celebrated for her on Friday at 3:30 PM at the Gregory J. Gonce Funeral Home, PA, 169 Riviera Drive, Pasadena, with Deacon Richard Clemens officiating.
