Raymond Eugene Bennaman, Jr., 70, a resident of Pasadena for 46 years, and previously of Brooklyn, died on June 5, 2013 at his home.
He was born on July 8, 1942, in Baltimore, to the late Ethel and Raymond E. Bennaman, Sr. A graduate of St. Rose of Lima, he worked for the last 19 years as a forklift trucker for Atlas Container. He enjoyed camping, fishing and clamming, the beach, watching TV and movies, birthday parties for his children and grandchildren, and was especially fond of Christmas.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 45 years: Dorothy Barbara Bennaman.
He is survived by his three sons: Raymond Eugene Bennaman, III, Michael Bennaman and his wife Kathy, and Kenneth Bennaman and his wife Jackie; his daughter Dawn Bennaman; two sisters: Mary Delimater and Eileen Tilman; nine grandchildren: Jessica, Michael, Raymond, Kenneth, Meagan, Ryan, Jacob, Madison, and William; and his great grandson Braeden.
Friends are invited to visit on Sunday and Monday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM at the Gregory J. Gonce Funeral Home, PA, 169 Riviera Drive, Pasadena. The procession will leave the funeral home on Tuesday at 12:30 PM to go to St. Jane Frances Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 PM, with Monsignor Carl Cummings officiating.
