Robert Steven Szuba, 45, a lifetime resident of Pasadena, died of lung complications on May 9, 2013 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center, after a brief illness.
He was born on February 3, 1968, in Glen Burnie, to Doris and the late Carl F. Szuba. A graduate of Marley Glen Special School, he worked at the Providence Center doing woodshop and horticulture. He was very involved with the Handicap Athletic Program, or H.A.P. of Anne Arundel County; was a member of St. Athanasius Church and Lake Shore Baptist Church; and Boy Scout Troop 216 for 35 years. He enjoyed music, pretty women, the Ravens & Orioles, wrestling, travelling to Ocean City and Myrtle Beach, and spending time with his family and extended family.
He is survived by his loving mother Doris Szuba; three brothers: Michael, Carl, and Francis Szuba; two sisters: Barbara Fischer and Rosemarie Collins; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces & nephews, and his extended family at Mountain Road II.
Friends are invited to visit on Sunday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM at the Gregory J. Gonce Funeral Home, PA, 169 Riviera Drive, Pasadena. The procession will leave the funeral home on Monday at 10:30 AM to go to St. Athanasius Church, where services will be held at 11 AM. His burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery.
