Marie Grace Culotta, age 96, a resident of Glen Burnie, died on March 8, 2013 at her home.
She was born on February 1, 1917, in Baltimore, to the late Marie Antoinette and Carmelo Mortillaro. A graduate of Saints Philip and James, and then Western High School, she volunteered as a den mother in the cub scouts, and was a member of the Church of the Crucifixion. She enjoyed ceramics and knitting, cooking and baking, and taking care of her children and grandchildren.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 51 years: Frank Joseph Culotta; her son Albert Robert Culotta; three brothers: Louis, Nicholas, and Paul Mortillaro; and two sisters: Rose Raymond and Nancy Trader.
She is survived by her four daughters: Marion Hall, Marie Dunlap, Betty Nevin, and Mary Wellein; three sons: Vincent Culotta, Frank Culotta, Jr., and John Culotta; her sister Marguerite Gonce; 22 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.
Family invites friends to visit on Monday and Tuesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM at the Gregory J. Gonce Funeral Home, PA, 169 Riviera Drive, Pasadena. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the Church of the Crucifixion, 100 Scott Avenue, Glen Burnie, on Wednesday at 11 AM, with burial to follow in New Cathedral Cemetery.
