John Henry Ingram, age 63, a resident of Pasadena, died on December 31, 2012 at University Hospital after battling Leukemia for six and a half months.
He was born on January 21, 1949, in Baltimore, to the late Dorothy and Charles Ingram, Sr. After attending Northeast High School, he served for two years in the US Army as a heavy equipment instructor during the Viet Nam War. For 35 years he worked as a car hauler both as a teamster and as an owner-operator. He enjoyed fishing, camping, Nascar, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his father in law Donald Owings.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years: Donna Ingram; his son Johnny Ingram and his wife Melanie; daughter Jami Whittington and her husband KO; two brothers: Charles (Ed) Ingram and his wife Marge, and Jeffrey Ingram and his wife Shelly; three grandchildren: Kody, Olivia, and Kaden; two sisters in law: Dina and Andrea Bunn; his mother and father in law: Carolyn and George Dumbauld; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Family invites friends to visit at the Gregory J. Gonce Funeral Home, PA, 169 Riviera Drive, Pasadena, on Monday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM. His funeral service will commence at 11:30 AM on Tuesday at the funeral home, with burial to follow, with honors, in Maryland Veteran’s Cemetery, Crownsville.
