Earnestine Boyer, age 79, a resident of Glen Burnie for 10 years, died of heart complications on November 6, 2012 at University of MD Medical Center.

She was born on June 24, 1933, in Inman, Virginia, to the late Estelle and Kelly Rogers. After graduating from Southern High School in 1952, newly married, she lived in England with her husband while he was stationed there until 1955. They returned home on a military ship at the tail end of a hurricane.

She enjoyed shopping, visiting Pennsylvania and Virginia; loved her friends and neighbors in Parkview Senior Apartments, and adored her granddaughter – it was her only one.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 31 years Roland E. Boyer, Sr., who passed in 1984.

She is survived by her son Roland E. Boyer, Jr. and his wife Patricia, of Annapolis; her daughter Linda J. Hunt and her husband Robert, of Glen Burnie, and her granddaughter Katelyn Hunt, of Dansville, VA.

Family and friends are invited to visit at the Gregory J. Gonce Funeral Home, PA, 169 Riviera Drive, Pasadena, on Wednesday November 14, from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM. Her funeral service will commence on Thursday at 11:30 AM at the funeral home, with burial to follow in Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Crownsville.
