Phillip Joseph Bozek, age 63, a resident of Glen Burnie, died on June 18, 2012 of heart disease at Baltimore Washington Medical Center.
He was born on March 29, 1949, in Baltimore, to the late Cecile Rita and John Xavier Bozek, Sr. He worked as an RV mechanic for Leo’s Vacation Center, retiring in 2000. He was an avid wood carver and loved hunting, bow and gun target shooting, fishing, kayaking, and yard work. He enjoyed teaching hunter safety and was a Regional Hunter Educational Instructor for Maryland Department of Natural Resources. He was also a long time member and Range Safety Officer for Glenbrook Rifle Association; member of the National Wildlife Turkey Federation, and member of the Anne Arundel Carvers Club. He enjoyed raising money for the non-profit organizations he was affiliated with.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 36 years: Gale Bozek, his brother Jack, sister Nancy, nephews and nieces John, Paul, Marjorie, Kimberly, and Jeffrey, and many great nieces and nephews.
Family requests friends visit on Friday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM. The funeral service will be held at 8 PM on Friday, during the evening visitation.
