Bernard Francis Kaminski, 93, a resident of Pasadena for 47 years, and previously of Morrell Park, died of cancer at Baltimore Washington Medical Center on November 27, 2011 after a 1 month illness.
He was born on November 11, 1918, in Baltimore, and attended Holy Rosary Catholic School. He worked as a welder at Sparrows Point before joining the US Navy, serving from 1944 through 1945 as a Seaman 1st Class. He then worked as a gas fitter and welder for BG&E for 34 years. His passion was remodeling homes, and he loved the old Baltimore Colts and the Orioles.
He is predeceased by his beloved wife of 58 years: Florence Kaminski, and two grandsons: Timothy Michael Lange and Mark Anthony Myers.
He is survived by his son Bernard Kaminski, Jr. and his wife Denise, of Linthicum; two daughters: Bernadine Lange of Pasadena and Florence Myers, of Baltimore; two sisters: Dorothy and Rosie, both of Baltimore; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
The family requests friends visit on Thursday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM at the Gregory J. Gonce Funeral Home, PA, 169 Riviera Drive, Pasadena. The funeral service will take place on Friday at 10:30 AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Gardens of Faith Cemetery. Those who wish may contribute to the Hospice of the Chesapeake.
