Evelyn Carrie Lam, age 92, a resident of Glen Burnie for more than 55 years, passed on August 9, 2018.
She was born on June 17, 1926, in Millersville, to the late Mary and Charles E. Katlic. She enjoyed bingo and playing crossword puzzles, but as a devoted wife and mom what she loved most was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Along with her parents, Ev is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 44 years: Earnest O. Lam; three sisters: Marie Wallis, Helen Vermillion, and Elizabeth Welsh; and her brother Charles Katlic.
She is survived by her devoted son Edward F. Lam and his wife Yuko, of Jessup; her loving daughter Rose M. Baldwin and her husband Maurice, of Severn; her brother James Katlic, of Arnold; her sister Margie Lucas, of Pasadena; three grandchildren: Wanda Chansler, Scott Baldwin and Mika Lam; Candace Ball and seven other great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Family requests friends visit at the Gregory J. Gonce Funeral Home, PA, 169 Riviera Drive, Pasadena, on Monday from 5 until 7 PM. Her funeral service will begin on Tuesday at 11:30 AM at the funeral home, with her burial to follow in Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Crownsville.
