Catherine "Cassie" Buck, age 78, a resident of Sunset Beach for 55 years, and previously of Orchard Beach, passed at her home on March 18, 2017.
She was born on August 8, 1938, in Orchard Beach, to the late Catherine and Richard Hoffman. Always dedicated to her family, she was loving and attentive to all of her grandchildren's activities. She loved Christmas, holiday parties, the beach, crabs, baton twirling, decorating, messaging on I-pad, and the Red White and Blue.
Along with her parents, Cassie is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 44 years: William E. Buck.
She is survived by her daughter Colleen Rowe and her husband Bart, of Arnold; her son Mike Buck, of Caldwell, Ohio; six grandchildren: Brandon Rowe, of Annapolis, Colin, Cameron, and Breanne Rowe, of Arnold, and the extended family grandchildren Sarah and Heather Walsh, also of Arnold; her brother Steve Hoffman and his wife Esther, of Hurlock; and her sister Helen Sass and her husband Steve, of Pasadena.
Family requests friends visit at the Gregory J. Gonce Funeral Home, PA, 169 Riviera Drive, Pasadena, 21122 on Wednesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM. Her funeral service will begin on Thursday at 11:30 AM, with Deacon Mike Dodge officiating. Her burial will follow in Glen Haven Memorial Park. Bart, Colleen, and Family,
May you cherish all the memories that you shared with your Mother / Mom Mom Cassie. She certainly loved all of you unconditionally, and her heart was filled with so much joy throughout the years while sharing time with all of you! You could always see such happiness through her wonderful smile. Mom Mom had such compassion for all people, and her warm and loving spirit touched everyone.
