Bill and his wife Eleanor raised their eleven children on their farm. In addition to organic truck gardening, Bill also worked for Freddy Keys as a hired hand and milked cows from 1964 – 1977. Bill then went on to work at Sunneyview Nursing Home as Maintenance Supervisor from 1977-1989.

Eleanor, Mike, Joe, Johnny, Jimmy, Anna, Rita, Monica, Rosie, Marie and Ellen,
It is with deep, heartfelt sympathy that I want to say how important Bill was to my dad, Jack Minikus. My Dad and Bill could remember as far back as 5 and 6 years old playing together and remained friends their entire lives, Bill being a strict Catholic and my Dad being a fervent Baptist. They sure did argue/debate about a lot of things, always keeping their love intact. Clear up until dad’s death did they pray for each other. I in turn will pray for you and your families in the loss of a great husband, father, grandfather and friend. I believe those prayers are eternal and God will continue to answer their prayers long after they''ve gone. And though you miss him as we miss our dad, stay strong in your faith and take comfort in knowing that Dad and Bill are now reunited in their eternal friendship with our Lord Jesus and God our Heavenly Father. With love and gratitude for an eternal family friendship, Patsy (Minikus) Behm
