Dearest son of the late Joseph and Mary (nee Cavanaugh). Dear brother of Margaret, Catherine (Tim) Weaver, Jean (Tom) Curtin, Joseph (Sue), Tom, Carole (Bill) Hillgamyer, and the late Mary Ellen, and Maureen. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Kinsman and lifelong friend of Joe Kilroy, John Kirby and many others. Lifelong Canaryville resident. Member Canaryville FLAGS Club. 3rd degree member Knights of Columbus - Madonna Council No. 1135. Avid booster and Alum of Leo High School and the University of Illinois. Cherished friend to many, he will be sorely missed by all in Canaryville. In lieu of flowers donations to St. Gabriel Building Fund appreciated. Funeral services 8:30 a.m. Friday, January 24, 2014, at the Thomas McInerney’s Sons Funeral Home, 4635 South Wallace Street, Chicago, IL. Mass of the Resurrection St. Gabriel Church 11:00 a.m. Visitation Thursday, January 23, 2014, from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

My deep heart felt sorrows go out to the family of Bill. I knew of Bill but, wasn't as close as some of his friends. What I did know of Bill, he was one of the good guys. Heaven is awaiting you my friend.
