Posted by: Bill Conlon Sat March 28, 2015 | I am so sorry for your loss. Death is never a welcomed event, but it is an event we do not look forward to but we all experience. I have been greatly encouraged and comforted by God's words in the Bible. At John 5:28,29 Jesus promised that soon there will be a resurrection. In Revelation 21:3,4 God promise's that soon there will be no more pain and death will be no more. Until that time comes, may your many memories bring you much comfort and may the Jehovah God the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ grant you comfort in your time of need.

Posted by: Melissa Bridge Mon March 30, 2015 | To me, Dad was my guiding light. He set the example of what a good husband, father and friend should be. He always did his best to be patient with all of his children. We had our ups and downs just like everyone else but I would never wish to change a thing. There were 6 of us. 2 biological, but he considered us all equally his own. He tried to carve out some quality time with each of us and time together was well spent. As for his life with Mom, he set a shining example of the kind of unconditional love required to see a marriage through good times and bad. Dad was always an optimist, always willing to pitch in and do whatever was needed, all the time truly believing that things would work out in the end. Dad was also a fantastic friend. He always saw the good in people. If you needed him, he was there and asking what he could do to help. Dad was there for all the highs and lows of our lives. He always had the best advice and had our best interest in mind. My children are so lucky to have had such a caring grandfather but even more fortunate to have a loving one! I do and will always apply his advice and wisdom to my everyday choices in my life and hope I can be as humble as a parent as he. The loss of someone dear to us is never easy, but may we take comfort in the fact that we are surrounded by people that love and care for us. Losing someone we love is nothing we can ever prepare for, but knowing that we have been able to be a part of the life of my father, we can realize that we are blessed to have been able to share in his life before he went to rest in eternal salvation. After the tears have dried and the goodbyes have been said, all we have to hold onto are the happy memories we’ve shared with my dad. This is what keeps him alive in our hearts and in our minds, and he will continue to live on, through us.
Rest easy tough guy! Thank you so much for always taking care of us. |

I love you like the sunshine. I love you like a flower blooming. I love you like 1,000 people smiling. The most important thing about you is you always took my side when I was in trouble :) I think you are awesome! You are a cooking master, a four star chef. You are everyone's friend. I will find a husband just like you! Papa, I will miss you till we meet again on the other side of the rainbow. Love you always... Your granddaughter Kayleigh |
Posted by: Kayla Marie Bridge Wed April 01, 2015 | You looked handsome as ever yesterday Daddy. I miss you so much already. I do not know how I am going to spend the rest of my life without seeing you, hearing your voice, feeling your hugs, and telling me you love me more. I hope I make you proud and you always shine down on us. Every time I hear a bird chirp, see a train, and every time I feel alone I'll think of you. I know you won't be able to be here physically but I know you will always be around spiritually. For every feather I find I know you're there. All the laughs we shared and you thinking I'm absolutely nuts for dancing like a really terrible ballerina, to all of the tears we shed sitting down and talking all night. You always told me I was your baby girl and I know you really meant it. I learned so much from our late night talks and I'll always miss the way we watched Green Acres, The Munsters, and the Three Stooges together every morning when I was little. When I was was a little girl and I was sick you would always lay me down on your side of the bed and take such amazing care of me. Any time I fell asleep on the couch you covered me with a blanket or brought me to bed as a true gentleman would have. You were the most gentle and free spirited man. Its because of you that I have such a high standard for men. Thank you for everything you ever did and provided me with. My Father was such a gentleman ever since day one. Always the first say he loves you. If he wasn't dressed in work clothes you could put a bet on it that he would look sharper than a two edged sword. He loved more than most could dream and he had such a way about him that no matter who you were you would fall for his captivating personality. When it came to his family he would always put us before everyone else. But always let us know when we were in the wrong. Even if it wasn't at that moment. He used his words and rarely raised his voice. But when he did the earth shook from his sterness. Everything he said was always from the heart and never out of hatred or anger. I am so proud to be able to call him Dad because of everything he has taught me but mostly because of how much he loved me and had faith in me. I am grateful for all of the time we spent together and for for teaching all of your children how to love and never hold a grudge. You were the best father I could ever ask for. Forever in my heart, always on my mind. I love you, until we meet again shine bright and fly high. You were always my number 1. I love you more, always. |
