The Lord saw you getting tired
And a cure was not to be,
So He put his arms aroud you
And whispered, "Come with me."

With tearful eyes, we watched you suffer
And saw you fade away,
Although we loved you dearly,
We could not make you stay.

A golden heart stopped beating,
A beautiful smile at rest,
God broke our hearts to prove
He only takes the best.

It will be lonesome here without you
We will miss you so each day,
Our lives will not be the same
Because you went away.

When days are sad and lonely,
And everything goes wrong,
We will hear you whisper,
"Cheer up and carry on."

Each time we see your picture,
You will smile and say,
"Don't cry, I'm in God's keeping,
We'll meet again someday."

WE LOVE YOU MOM XOXOXOXOX

Lorraine, you were my best friend for so many years and I will miss you very very much. You are at peace now but you left a big hole in this world for so many of us who had the privilege to know you.

Mom
No one has to tell me how lucky I was to have you for my mother, because I have known it for a long time. I will always remember all the special things you have done for me, and how much love you gave. You taught me so much about life and love and to give of myself. Those are lessons I will thank you for,forever. You were and always will be the strongest and most unique woman in my life. Know I will always carry you in my heart, my mind and my life. Rest now, you have been tired, and fought it for so long. I love you, my beautiful mother. ;

Ginny, Paul, Lisa and Casey,
Sending you my deepest sympathies. When my grandmother passed away the most comforting feeling was knowing she was free of pain and suffering. Often times I would feel her presence with me as I know you will too. Please let me know if there is anything you need. Love Sherry

Nana,
For many years you have brought together our large family. In good times or in bad you were always there when we needed you most. We never doubted your heart, courage, or loving nature nor did we ever think once that you would give up on us when we seemed like we where giving up on ourselfs. You raised 4 beautiful daughters and 2 handsome sons who all live prosperous successful lives all thanks to you and Papa. You will never be forgotten and will always live in our hearts forever not as just a loving grandmother but as a beautiful person who would help in anyway you could in a moments notice. We all love you beyond your wildest dreams and will carry on our great family traditions and love for each other that you started and kept together for so many years and have done an amazing job of. You will always be in my thoughts and preyers. I love you and god bless you. Your grandson, Christopher

Dear Lorraine: I did not have the opportunity to meet you, but I have had the pleasure of meeting two of your children, Ginny and Gary. If children are truly a reflection of the parents, then you were an exceptional parent. I know that Ginny loved you very much.

To Ginny and her family: Please find solace in the fact that your Mom is resting in the company of angels. I KNOW that you WILL see her again at the proper time. Love to you Ginny.

Growing up with you by our side,
Your loving nature was our guide.
Through the years you watched us grow,
Teaching us everything we'd need to know.
Love and kindness we learned from you,
As well as to be faithful, good and true.

Your courage and strength was our inspiration,
and there was never an end to your family dedication.
You've been there for us to the end,
Until the day for you, God did send.
Now you watch us from up above,
Shining down on us with your heavenly love.
We know your place in heaven has a good view,
Because you're telling God, I need to keep an eye on a few...

Now looking back, I think I have the key,
The hidden secret to your longevity.
It is your kindness, your spirit, your love
Which is that great gift sent from above.
It's a love without measure or degree,
It's a love that will last for eternity.

And as we all say our goodbyes,
Tears are falling from our eyes,
And how our hearts hurts so
For you not to be here to see our children grow.
Nana, you will always be in our memories and hearts,
And we thank you for being there for all of us from the start.

Nana was a tremendous woman who shared with each of us a special bond.
She will always be there for us no matter where she is,
For a part of her spirit will always live on in each of us.

We shall miss you Nana.
Love, Kristy

Ginny: My deepest sympathies to you and your family. Even though this may be a part of life it is a most difficult time and prayers from both Pris and I are with you. Pris has lost both parents many, many years ago and I lost my dad in the eighties. We understand the pain and emptiness you feel and want you to think about the wonderful memories that your mom left you.

Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and your entire family. You've shared with us over the years a lot of stories about your mom and she sounded like a remarkable person. The days ahead will be tough, but please take comfort in knowing that she is at peace and does not have to endure the pain any longer, and for that she is smiling from above.
Love,
Barb

Donƒ€™t grieve for me, for now Iƒ€™m free
Iƒ€™m following the path God has laid you see.
I took His hand when I heard him call
I turned my back and left it all.
I could not stay another day
to laugh, to love, to work, to play.
Tasks left undone must stay that way
I found that peace at the close of day.
If my parting has left a void
then fill it with remembered joy.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss
Oh yes, these things I too will miss.
Be not burdened with times of sorrow
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.
My lifeƒ€™s been full, I savored much
Good friends, good times, a loved oneƒ€™s touch.
Perhaps my time seemed all too brief
Donƒ€™t lengthen it now with undue grief.
Lift up your hearts and peace to thee
God wanted me now; He set me free.

Nana Lorraine;
A second Nana to love and cherish.
You were my Nana from the age of two.
I could not have picked another better.
I will miss you and remember you often.
You and your love will never be forgotten.
Your memory will always be in my heart
For that is where this bond had its start.
Love always,
Tianne

Lorraine-- All the John Hancock girls will miss you. Thanks for all the great dishes and desserts that you made over the years for work and our June parties. Although
Joan always took the credit for everything, we knew it was your wonderful cooking. Hope Joan's cooking for you now.

Love,
Sue & Kevin Abbott and all your friends from John Hancock
