Richard (Dick) C. Devanna Sr., age 80, of Everett, Massachusetts, died Wednesday, November 8, 2017 with family by his side. Born May 26, 1937, he was the son of the late Edward F. and Emily M. (Jensen) Devanna Sr.

Dick was an honest salesman. He always looked out for the best interest of others. He enjoyed tinkering with mechanics, fishing, playing golf, and cheering on Boston sports teams.  He would never miss a Red Sox game.  But, most of all, he was a devoted family man.
He is predeceased by his loving wife of 57 years, Kathleen A. (Foley) and four siblings; Edward, Ellen May, Robert and Nancy.  He is survived by two siblings Barry Devanna and Sandra Hoyle; his five children; Richard and Dorothea Devanna of Arlington, Donna (Devanna) Lordan of Athol, David and Kimberly Devanna of Everett, Deanna (Devanna) and Mark Stanford of Dracut, and Kelly Devanna of Athol; 15 grandchildren; Sharon, Richard III, Daniel, Jennifer, Anthony, Sheena, Adam, Joshua, Ryan, Alan, Michael, Justin, Andrew, John and Jamie; 8 great-grandchildren; Amber, Jason, Benjamin, Sahmya, Danielle, Nikolas, Isabella and Lucas; and many other loving nieces, nephews and relatives.

Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours from 8 to 9:30 am, Monday, November 13 at the Rocco Funeral Home on 331 Main Street, Everett, Massachusetts. A funeral mass will follow at 10 am at the Immaculate Conception Church on 489 Broadway, Everett. Interment will follow at the Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to Heritage Nursing Care Center, 841 Merrimack Street, Lowell, MA 01854.
