LaVITA, Joseph A. At age 89, of Everett, on March 24th. Beloved husband for 63 years to Josephine (Mortelliti). Loving father of Donna LaVita Tefft and her husband Steven. Loving brother of Arthur LaVita and his wife Marcia, and the late Bernard LaVita. He is survived by his one beloved granddaughter, Carly, as well as many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral from the Salvatore Rocco & Sons Funeral Home, 331 Main St., EVERETT, Tuesday, March 28th. Services will commence Tuesday in the funeral home at 12 p.m. preceeded by a wake service from 10 to 12 p.m. Interment at Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cops for Kids With Cancer, Everett Police Department, 45 Elm St., Everett, MA 02149. Joseph served in the 82nd Army Airborn Division and retired from the Everett Police Department.
