Megan Cooms, 125 Nashua St., Boston, MA 02114. Interment will be private. Joyce was an adventurous, fun-loving, independent talented woman who lived life to the fullest. She was patriotic and passionate about America and insisted on only "buying American". She loved camping on her land in Maine or other campgrounds. She also sailed her own boat and became quite a good sailor. Joyce was fearless, experiencing hot air ballooning and rock wall climbing. She traveled by car throughout the US and Southern Canada with her faithful dog and friends. Flea markets were also a favorite of hers. Joyce was very talented with her hands. Among her many handcrafts were flower arranging, calligraphy, rug hooking and macrame. A great cook and was famous for her holiday cakes, and always spectacularly decorated her home for Christmas each year. Joyce was a collector of mice figurines of all sizes, amassing an extensive collection over the years. Often working two jobs, Joyce owned a beauty salon and was known as an excellent hairdresser to all her family and friends. A Godmother to a number of her friends' children and loved spending time with them whenever she could. Joyce really enjoyed being in her yard with her beloved dog and a good book. She had a wide ranging circle of friends and family-especially including friends from Dunks. She was especially grateful to the Grande family for taking care of Duncan. Joyce definitely lived a full, busy and rewarding life. She will be so greatly missed, especially by Duncan, her rescue dog, and all her family and friends.
