Hundreds of photos were taken on Janine Keller's final day, March 24th. Why? She was dressed in a FULL bunny suit to please and amuse the neighborhood children as she worked her corner as a crossing guard.

Janine, born March 3rd, 1951 and a lifelong resident of Everett Massachusetts, was a concentrated ball of energy and fire and she infused this spirit into every situation. She made mundane and ordinary events into unique situations. She'd sing loudly while walking through the grocery store, get recipes from other shoppers and make friends with strangers. She brought joy and love to every single thing she did.

Without the endless love and support of her husband, Rick Keller, Janine would not have been able to do all the things she was so deeply passionate about including volunteering with the Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, Camp Nihan, leading Religious Education Classes at the IC, helping support a family and an orphanage in Uganda and donating to breast cancer awareness.

Janine loved children and her love knew no bounds. She fostered 57 children and was a mother to many more. She was never too busy to provide a neighborhood child a hot meal or give out kind words and a hug.

Janine will be missed by everyone that knew and loved her. She is survived by her husband, Rick Keller; her children, Shawn Keller and wife Jennifer Elderkin-Keller, Shannon Keller and husband Jamie Lyon, Bo Keller, Guerline Keller, Maggie Keller, Alec “Poochie” Keller, Roses Keller; her granddaughter, Payton Keller and Payton’s mom Charlene Geary; her mother, Jane Kwiatkowski; and her sisters, Susan Young and Karen Sidle.

A funeral mass will be held May 14th at 10AM at the Immaculate Conception Parish in Everett. Following mass will be a Celebration of Life in the lower church, program to start at 11:30. Remembering Janine's love of children, any and all are invited.
