Jennie Pearl (Gallentine) McClain, 86, of Shelbyville, died Wednesday, July 29, 2015, at Waldron Health & Rehab Center.
Born June 6, 1929, in Shelby County, she was the daughter of Lloyd and Ethel (Ray) Gallentine. She married William C. McClain on Jan. 24, 1948, and he preceded her in death June 7, 2005.
Survivors include one daughter, Sara McClain of Indianapolis; one son, Kenny McClain and wife, Angie, of Waldron; one brother, Howard Gallentine and wife, Betty, of Gilford, Connecticut; one grandson, Tyler McClain of Waldron; and one great-granddaughter, Annabelle McClain of North Vernon.
She was preceded in her death by her parents; one daughter, Constance McClain of Columbus; and one brother, John Ray of Kokomo.
She graduated from Waldron High School in 1947.
She was employed with Cummins Engine Co. for 27 years, retiring in 1983. She was also a qualified medication aide at Heritage House and the Indiana Masonic Home. She worked for CVS and volunteered at Major Hospital.
She was a member of Mount Pisgah Baptist Church, Order of the Eastern Star of Flat Rock and Shelby County Homemakers Club.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 31, 2015, at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville. An Eastern Star service will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 1, 2015, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Dr. Robb Barlow officiating.
Burial will be at Norristown Cemetery in Shelby County.
Memorial contributions may be made to Mount Pisgah Baptist Church, 3178 E. Blue Ridge Road, Shelbyville, IN 46176.
Funeral Directors Greg A. Parks, Sheila J. Parks and Stuart Parks are honored to conduct the services for Mrs. McClain.

I'm so sorry for your loss! Did you know that soon you'll be reunited with your loved one again! The bible says John 5:28,29...Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life....
