GLANDER, Frederick, R. age, 76 of West Alexandria, OH. passed away Friday, Feb. 2, 2018 at his residence.  He was born in Dayton, OH. on Feb. 22, 1941 to John and Carrie (Ehler) Glander.  He was a graduate of West Alexandria High School and earned a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Ohio State University.  He had worked 45 years as a ceramic engineer for Corning Glass Works in Greenville, OH..  Fred was an avid fisherman, hunter and big time farmer.  He loved the outdoors, his animals and his visits to Canada. He is survived by two children, John (Marcie) Glander, West Alexandria, OH., Lori (Matt) Hoover, Stillwater, OK., grandchildren, Alyssa Glander, Kaitlyn (Steve) Sizemore, Hayley Glander, Jordan Glander, Joshua Hoover and Ashley Hoover, great grandchildren, Emilee Jones and Hayden Caylor, niece, Jana Desrochers. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Janice Garcia.  A visitation will be held Tues, Feb. 6, 2018 at Lindloff-Zimmerman Funeral Home, West Alexandria, OH. from 6-8PM.
