Melinda and I spent 1/2 of our childhood at your house. Your mother was a wonderful woman. She was always so gracious to put up with bloody noses, wet clothes from sledding, etc. I remember her wonderful bread, date filled cookies, and the fun of squashing the orange button in the oleo. I also remember sitting on an old tire and eating fresh produce from the garden. Even though I haven''t seen many of you for years, the warm memories are still in my heart forever. I am saddened to hear of Mrs. Herpel's passing. She was a kind & loving person. She would roll her wheelchair pass my mom's room & always speak or wave to my parents. Although my mom passed away earlier this year, they appreciated her love & concern. Kindness is a gift from the heart. May your loved one be at peace. May you treasure your memories of her.
