Dwain A. Welsh, age 67, passed away on November 30,2018 at Sunset Manor, Brush, Colorado after
complications from diabetes. Dwain was born on October 20, 1951 at Boscobel Hospital to Edward and
Edith (Emerson) Welsh. Dwain graduated from Guilford High School in Rockford, Illinois in 1969 and
soon relocated to Ft. Morgan, Colorado before then moving to Brush, Colorado.
To know Dwain, is to know he was a man of few words, but he deeply loved his family and while he
didn’t like to travel too far from Colorado, he enjoyed visits from his brothers, sisters and many family
members. Dwain would say that he had a second family at Sunset Manor, and it was very clear that the
staff and fellow residents thought the world of him.
Dwain is survived by two brothers: Don (Carolyn) Welsh of Stillman Valley, IL; Ken (Sandy) Welsh of San
Tan Valley, AZ and four sisters: Marcy (Floyd) Drake of Janesville, WI; Deloris Wipperfurth of N. Ft.
Myers, FL; Marilyn (Bill) Blanton of Lochbuie, CO and Betty (Harold) Otto of Poplar Grove, IL; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. We will all miss Dwain very much. Dwain was preceded in death by his parents Edward and Edith Welsh and nephews Craig Welsh and Kenny Blanton.
A graveside urn internment and memorial service will be held at Boscobel Cemetery at 10:30 am on Saturday, July 13, 2019. Kendall Funeral Service assisted family with arrangements.
