Eileen E. Hipenbecker, age 90 of Muscoda, passed away on Tuesday May 23, 2017 at the Golden Living Center (Dycora) in Muscoda.  She was born January 5, 1927 in Hickory Grove Township,Grant County,Wisconsin.  She was the daughter of Joel and Gena (Larson) Hoffland. She married Marvin Hipenbecker on January 15, 1945 in Boscobel .  For most of her married life, Eileen, along with her husband and son, Jeff, owned and operated a dairy, beef, and crop farm, located near Muscoda.  Eileen milked cows starting at the age of 12 on her parents’ farm and continued with those skills into her married life until retirement.  She planted and cared for large gardens each year growing much produce for canning and freezing.    She and Marvin enjoyed traveling, playing cards, and were the most wonderful dance partners.  Eileen was very devoted to her husband, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.  Her family will forever envision her   preparing wonderful meals in her kitchen, especially during the holidays.  She volunteered her time at the voting booths in Muscoda Township as well as the Women’s Circle at St. John’s Lutheran Church.  She loved music and never missed her children’s school music performances.
Eileen suffered a stroke eight years ago and during this difficult time in her life, resided at Golden Living in Muscoda.  She has been a true inspiration to her family, her greatest accomplishment, and to so many others, always positive and smiling.  Her family is very grateful for the care and love she received from all the many people at Golden Living, her home over the past few years.

She is survived by four sons and two daughters Leslie (Patricia) Hipenbecker of Ballston Lake NY., Jeffrey Hipenbecker of Muscoda, Terry Hipenbecker (Donna Rane) of Madison, Douglas Hipenbecker  ( Shawn Farris)  of Madison, Laurel (Michael) Krutza of Minocqua , Tammy Schwingle of Muscoda. 12 Grandchildren,  14 Great-Grandchildren with a great-granddaughter due in November. One sister, Lynnette Daye of Westfield Wi., She was preceded in death by her husband Marvin Hipenbecker on March 23, 2014.  parents, 2 brothers, Jacob and Sydney, Hoffland;  5 sisters; Lucille Hoffland, Carolyn Hall, Gilma Gilbertson, Sabina DeWitt, Mae Flathom.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at St. John's Lutheran Church in Boscobel.  Pastor Charles Koester officiating. Burial in the Boscobel Cemetery.  Friends may call on Monday, May 29, 2017 from 4:00-7:00 P.M. at the Kendall Funeral Home in Boscobel , and also at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service.  In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to St. John's Lutheran Church in Boscobel or Golden Living Center (Dycora) Nursing Home in Muscoda.  Online condolences can be sent to www.kendallfuneralservice.com

I am so sorry for your loss . She was a great lady I remember when Kim and Terry was married and I used to go out to the farm with them . She would welcome you with open arms what a great lady . A wonderful Grandma also . your all in my thoughts and prayers thinking of everyone of you ........

Thinking of you all. What a great woman she was. One of my fondest memories was when Marvin was still with us and they would sit and hold hands every night after supper and there goodnight kisses. Admired them both.
