Joycelyn (Joyce) M. Rice, age 78 of Boscobel, passed away on Wednesday February 3, 2016 at the Boscobel Care and Rehab in Boscobel. She was born on April 24, 1937 in Steuben Wisconsin.  The daughter of Joseph and Cleone (Daly) Smith. She was married to the love of her life Kenneth Rice on August 11, 1956 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua Iowa. He preceded her in death on June 20, 2010.

Joyce's main employment was the Family Dairy Farm where she enjoyed taking care of the calves.

After retiring from the dairy farm, Joyce and Ken both worked at Land's End where they both retired.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Boscobel.  Joyce loved to be a productive worker and was thoughtful and giving to others. She also enjoyed antiquing with Ken.

She is survived by a sister Marjean Kerns of Hawkins Wi. A brother Connie Smith of Belleville Wi., Several Nieces and nephews and a host of good friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters Muriel Yonker, Shirley Adams, JoAnne Lathrop. Four brothers: Darrell Smith, Raymon Smith, Norris Smith, and Paul (Bud) Smith. Along with three sister in laws.

In accordance with Joyce's wishes a graveside service will be held on Saturday February 6, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. at the Boscobel Cemetery in Boscobel Wisconsin. No visitation or formal service will be conducted  The Kendall Funeral Service in Boscobel is assisting the family. Memorials can be made to the Boscobel Rescue Squad . There are no words to say about the lose of a very special lady. Whether baling hay or milking, she always made a great meal! Or the times at the bowling alley or at auctions, she will be dearly missed! Joyce and Ken will always be in my heart.
