David Zinkle, age 81 of Steuben passed away on Thursday August 19 2010 at the Golden Living Center in Muscoda. He was born on May 30 1929 in Eastman Wisconsin. The son of Aloysius and Gertrude (Schmidt) . He married Patricia Moran on April 12 1955 at St. Phillips Catholic Church in Rolling Ground. David worked at Borden's in Boscobel and moved to Beloit, where he worked at a foundry and at Chevrolet in Janesville. He returned to the Steuben area where he farmed until he retired. He is survived by two brothers A.P. (Katie) Zinkle of Wauzkea, Jerome (Kathy) Zinkle of Carnation Wa. Two sisters: Jeanne Neis of Plano Texas, Diane (Ronnie) Bird of Seneca. He is surived by several Nieces and Nephews. He is also survived by Five sister in laws: Lois Zinkle of Seneca, Sue Zinkle of Steuben, Kathleen (Jim) Vogt of Cassville, Mary (Ron) Halverson of Stouhton, Betty (Art) Masshardt of Madison. Two brother in laws: Tom (Sandy) Moran of Boscobel, Robert (Donna) Moran of Boscobel. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers: Robert Zinkle, Dick Zinkle, Bill Zinkle, Two sisters and Four brother in laws: Lois and Jack McKendry, Eileen and Kermit Groom, Glenn Neis, Dale Kuenster. Father and Mother in Law Bernard and Ruby Moran.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday August 23 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Boscobel. Father Peter Auer officiating. Burial in St. Patrick's Catholic Church Cemetery in Seneca. Friends may call on Sunday August 22 2010 from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the Kendall Funeral Home in Boscobel, with a wake scripture service at 7:30 P.M. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church memorial fund. On line condolence may be sent to www.kendallfuneralservice.com
