Richard L. Nelson, age 74, of Boscobel, passed away on Wednesday January 9, 2013 at the Boscobel Area Health Care in Boscobel. He was born on April 30, 1938 in Boscobel Township. The son of Adolph and Edith (Gile) Nelson. He worked in the steel industry. Richard was a Korean Conflict Veteran from 1955-1958. He is survived by a son Rick Nelson of Blue River . 1 Granddaughter Nikki Nelson of Boscobel . 2 sisters Karen Gilbertson of Boscobel, Helen Wellington of Boscobel. A brother William (Janita) Nelson of Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents along with a grandson Brock Nelson.
Memorial Service with burial will take place on Saturday July 20, 2013 at the Boscobel Cemetery in Boscobel Wisconsin. Military honors will be accorded by the Blake-Semrad American Legion Post 134 and the Gilbertson-Pitzer Post # 10393 VFW both of Boscobel. My sympathy to the family. I haven't seen Dick for many years but I still remember our talks when we sat in the car in front of the house. Dick had an interesting outlook, I believe his favorite words were "Such is life"....
