Joyce M. Hayhurst, age 73, of Boscobel, went to be with our lord on Monday August 6, 2012 at 7:10 P.M. at Gundersen Lutheran Hospital in LaCrosse Wisconsin. She was born August 11, 1938 in Martinton Illinois. The daughter of Herman and Arcelia (Arsneau) Pray. She married Norman Hayhurst on August 20, 1960 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Bradley Illinois. She worked as a beautician as a young woman and in her early married life. She and Norman relocated to Wisconsin to farm near Wauzeka. She also worked as a nurses's aid at Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Fennimore for 25 years before retiring.
Joyce was an avid gardener and enjoyed bird watching. She loved country music, polkas ans waltzes, reading, fishing and traveling with Norman. Joyce had a loving heart and a beautiful smile. She was devoted wife for more than fifty years. She was a wonderful and loving mother and grandmother. She will be dearly missed by her family, neighbors, and friends.
She is survived by her husband Norman Hayhurst of Boscobel. Two sons: Gary Hayhurst of Boscobel, Bruce Hayhurst and Julie Rienhard both of Cassville. Four daughters: Marsha (David) Jones of Wauzeka, Cheryl (Timothy) Letherby of Machesney Park Illinois, Carolyn (Clifford) Wallace of Lexington S.C. Sharon (William) Ackerman of Glen Haven. 7 Grandchildren Mitchell, Todd, Nathan, Rachel, Nicholas, Danielle, and Jason.3 Great-Grandchildren. Sean, Noah and Jaciey. Three sisters Shirley Feggett, Linda Stewart, Carol Swanson all of Henderson Ky. Special Neighbors and friends Rachel and Tad Peak, Ottmar Boebel Jr. of Boscobel. She was preceded in death by her parents along with a brother Howard Pray.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday August 10, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at the Kendall Funeral Home in Boscobel. Father Peter Auer officiating. Burial in the Boscobel Cemetery.Friends may call on Thursday August 9, 2012 from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at the Kendall Funeral Home in Boscobel and also on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of Service at the Funeral home.
