Bernadine L. Lull age 89 of Woodman passed away on November 11, 2019 at
Divine Health and Rehabilitation in Fennimore.
She was born on May 24 th 1930 in Eastman Wisconsin the daughter of Leo E. and
Ella B. (Bonney) Moravits. She married Alvin W. Lull on January 30, 1948 at
Immaculate Conception in Boscobel. Alvin proceeded her in death on September
4 th 2004.
During her early teens her family moved to Woodman, little did she know that
this little village would become her home town for the rest of her life. For
Bernadine small town life was just perfect. After the move she was able to finish
her high school education at Boscobel Schools graduating in 1948.
From her parents Bernadine learned the meaning of dedication to family and to
occupation, love, kindness and sweetness which she demonstrated all of her life.
During her work life she spent years as an employee of Northwest Telephone at
the Boscobel office and then many years, until retirement, at Boscobel Memorial
Hospital where she made lifelong friends of fellow employees and the patients
she served. Hard work also spilled over to home life with the huge garden that
seemed to appear every year even though the year before she had decided would
be the last.
Her dedication to her marriage to her husband, Alvin, was demonstrated in her
care of him during his 50-year battle with a debilitating illness.
Bernadine absolutely adored her family especially the little ones whom she could
hug and snuggle with and eventually bend to her will by bribing with the best
homemade sugar cookies and ice cream ever.
Family gatherings during the holidays and summer picnics brought out her
cooking and baking skills from turkey to hams to the family famous potato salad
that no one could really replicate to her perfection.
In later years she decided that the best way for the family to feel warm was for
everyone to have a quilt so this began the quilting frenzy phase of her life. Quilts,
created with love, of every size and color all to fit adults, teenagers and little ones
in her life.
She is survived by her children David (Nicki) Lull of Blue River, Michael (Judy) Lull
of Presque Isle Wisconsin, Nancy (Chuck) Eckert of Boscobel and Mary Kay (Greg)
Santillian of Rio Hondo Texas, 12 Grandchildren, 29 Great-Grandchildren, 10
Great-Great Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Two sisters Julia Key of Fall Creek Wisconsin and Katherine Eckert of Prairie du
Chien.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 4 brothers Keith Sterling, Avery
Sterling, twin brother Bernard Moravits and Jim Moravits, Grandsons David M.
