LeRoy H. Adams, age 96 of Boscobel, passed away into the loving arms of his wife, Carmen and our Lord on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at the Atrium Post Acute Care in Lancaster, surrounded by his family.  He was born on April 15, 1921 in Crawford County, Wisconsin.  The son of Leo and Lois (Fillbach) Adams.  He married the love of his life, Carmen Boak on June 4, 1946 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Boscobel.  She preceded him in death on March 30, 1996.  He was a WWII Army Veteran and a Purple Heart recipient.

LeRoy worked for Gudie’s Store and Turner Construction.  He retired after many years working as a custodian for Immaculate Conception School and Parish.  It was said many times he was so meticulous you could eat off his floors.  LeRoy was a member of the Corpus Christi Parish, a former Boscobel City Council member and a member of the American Legion in which he was recently honored for his 70 years of service.  He was also presented with a Quilt of Valor by the Quilts of Valor Foundation.  LeRoy always had a strong passion for the military and contributed diligently to the disabled/paralyzed veterans.

LeRoy is survived by his children, Reggie (Lona) Adams of Boscobel, Marsha (Bob) Blindert of Boscobel, Mary Anne (Jeff) Lee of Boscobel, Michael (Laura) Adams of Winter Garden FL, John (Janice) Adams of LaCrosse. 12 Grandchildren, Michelle (Henry) Bray, Shawna (Dayton) Bedward, Cody (Jaime) Adams, Cody (Meghan) Blindert, Courtney (Rollin) Brookhart, Jesse (Heather) Lee, Steven (Cassie) Lee, Brianne (John) Clary, Brent (special friend Kaley Robinson), Bryce, Tyler (fiancée Carmen Lezpona) and Logan Adams (special friend Kyana Sabelko).  14 Great-Grandchildren, Anna and Emily Johnson, Andrew, Riley and Hailey Bray, Shelby and Dakota Bedward, Grayson and Addison Adams, Grayce, Adam, Velouria, Aidan and Cadence Anne Lee and several Nieces and Nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother, 4 sisters.

LeRoy will be remembered for the way he tipped his hat to the side of his head, his cute smile, the way he liked to tease, being a practical joker and the teller of a good story.

He loved his family very much.  In his younger years with his wife , Carmen, they attended any events their children were involved with.  He always loved hearing about his grandchildren’s and great grandchildren’s lives and looked forward to their visits.  He loved Survivor night and a good game of Bingo or Euchre.
