Dateline-Blue River

Charles "Chuck" L. Stross Jr. age 72 of Blue River, passed away on Sunday March 16, 2014 at the Bland Bekkedal Center for Hospice Care in Viroqua. He was born on January 17, 1942 in Chicago Illinois.  The son of  Charles and Margaret (Carroll) Stross Sr. He married Marsha Grebas on May 5, 1962 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Chicago.
Chuck was first, and foremost, a family man. He loved to spend time with his wife, children , and grandchildren. He enjoyed fishing, vegetable gardening, a great bottle of Cabernet, and spending time on the Mississippi River. He is survived by his wife Marsha Stross of Blue River. Two sons Scott (Monica) Stross of Loretto Mn., Kelly (Collyn) Stross of Bloomington Mn. One daughter Kathleen (Marc) Tabor of Oglesby Ill. Three grandchildlren Griffin Charles Tabor, Gracyn Ann Tabor, Madeline Marie  Stross. He was preceded in death by his parents.


A memorial mass of Christian Burial  will be held on Thursday March 20, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at the Immaculate Conception  Catholic Church in Boscobel.  Father Peter Auer officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Friends may call on Wednesday March 19, 2014 from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the Kendall Funeral Home in Boscobel.
