Weldon R. McGraw, age 69 of Boscobel, passed away in his sleep the morning of Monday February 2, 2015 at his home in Boscobel. He was born on January 6, 1946 in Rockford Ill to Harry and Virginia (Harriman) McGraw Jr. They moved to WI a year later and settled on a farm near Fennimore where Weldon attended school.
Upon graduating from high school in 1964, Weldon enlisted in the US Air Force.( Vietnam Area), and was stationed in Thailand and Okinawa, Japan. In November 1968 after his military discharge he met Rita Siltala and they were married on June 14, 1969 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Fennimore.
Weldon developed an early interest in computers and furthered his education in that field, specializing in jobs in the food and dairy industry working on computer programing. His jobs took him all over the US, Canada, Mexico, Honduras, Columbia, Panama, Peru, Venezuela and the Dominican Republic.
In 2006, Weldon took a job in Egypt with Rita joining him for almost 6 years. They enjoyed their special time together there and were joined for awhile by their son Mitch. They were in Egypt at the time of the Revolution.
Upon their return stateside, Weldon took part time jobs that took him to Tennessee and Wisconsin and he also built control for projects going over seas.
He is survived by his wife Rita McGraw of Boscobel. Two sons Michael (Lisa) McGraw of Avoca, Mitchell McGraw and fiancée Kala Hilby both of Fennimore. Two daughters; Michelle (Michael) Leichti of Layton Utah Martina Stauffer and Todd Grimm both of Muscoda. 10 Grandchildren. One brother Marvin McGraw of Fennimore. One sister Mary (Bruce) Rhodes of Fennimore, brother-in-law Richard Siltala of Baraboo, and a sister-in-law Renee' Robinson of Muscoda. He was preceded in death by his parents along with a brother in law Richard "Dick" Robinson and special friend Marvin Salisbury.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday February 7. 2015 at 12:00 noon at the Kendall Funeral Home in Boscobel. Pastor Jen Johnson officiating. Burial in the Boscobel cemetery at a later date. Friends may call on Saturday February 7, 2015 from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at the Kendall Funeral Home in Boscobel. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to the family.
Military honors accorded by the Blake-Semrad American Legion Post #134 and the Gilbertson-Pitzer- Radley VFW post #10393 both of Boscobel. On line condolence can be sent to www.kendallfuneralservice.com

My condolences on the loss of Weldon. I reminded the 1964 classmates of Weldon's by sharing some early photos of him at Roger Hollow School and Fennimore Grade School. I want to also express my appreciation for his military service.

I am so sorry to hear about Wendall's passing. He has had quite a life and how wonderful you got to spend time together in Egypt and came home safely. Condolences to all your family. He will be missed.
