Richard L. "Dick" Chitwood age 76 of Gotham passed away on Sunday July 11 2010 at University Hospital in Madison,of an apparent heart attack.  He was born on November 17 1933 in Richwood Township Richland County Wisconsin. The son of Loyd and Nora (Dalton) Chitwood. He married Nancy Riemsnyder on February 28 1969 in Lancaster Wisconsin. Dick farmed the family  farm for several years in Richland County and later he became a truck driver  hauling loads accross the country. He is survived by his wife Nancy Chitwood of Gotham, 4 Sons: John (Ruth) Curin of Jeffersonville Ind., David (Patricia) Chitwood of Reedsburgh, Daniel (Kristen) Chitwood of Mineral Point, Jesse (Courtney) Chitwood of Dodgeville. 1 daughter Elizabeth (Tom) Barnett of Gillette Wy., 8 Grandchildren. 3 Sisters: Geraldine Bloyer of Darlington, Shirley Everson of Waterloo Wisconsin, Patsy Small of West Allis. A foster daughter Katie Markin of Richland Center. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother Wrenville Chitwood. 1 Sister Dottie Kendall, 1 Son Philip Curin.
Memorial Services will be held on Friday July 16 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at the Kendall Funeral Home in Boscobel. Burial will be at a later date in the Sand Prairie Cemetery rural Blue River. Friends may call on Friday July 16, 2010 from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at the Kendall Funeral Home in Boscobel.
