Posted by: Ann Marie Dalessandro Galetto Thu September 26, 2013 | I am deeply saddened by the loss of cousin Genie. Genie was always one of my favorites - I was only 18 working in Wilkes-Barre. Whenever I needed car "assistance", from Old Forge to Wilkes-Barre, cousin Gene was there for all my needs. Genie wanted to take care of "Jamesy's & Fannie's" kids-Genie was truly a family man - so sincere and warm - always. He will be missed.

Posted by: Nancy M. Noonan, Summerfield, FL Tue October 28, 2014 | If I had not been reviewing condolences for my dear Friend, Joel Riegel, who died recently, I would have not seen this obituary for Gene. It is with personal regret that I was not aware of either Gene's illness or death.
Gene and my dad, John E. Noonan, were good friends and we group up around Gene. I bought my very first car, 1964 Red Chevy Classic Super Sport Convertible, from Gene. How proud I was to drive this beautiful automobile to my teaching position in NY state. The photo posted of Gene jumps out at you as did his persona. Osma, please accept my sincere condolences and prayers for you and the family. Gene was a life-like hero in the eyes of this young teacher, who always appreciated his smile and his kindnesses to my family. May he rest in peace with the Lord for eternity. |
