Mr. Bunn was such a pleasant person to be around.  He was always cheerful and entertaining and interested in solving any kind of problem.  He raised such a wonderful family.  We will miss seeing him, but we're happy to think about all the fun he's having in heaven now with God.

Dear Suzanne and Bill,  I read with sadness of the death of Jay.  When I think of growing up on Webster Street, I always think of you and your parents.  Please know that I will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers.

Thinking of you,
Barbara

I met John in 1963 while we were apprentices at the Coast Guard Yard.  He was an interesting guy to talk to; very intelligent and witty.  I'm so sorry to see him taken by a dreadful disease.

Mr. Jay was always such a pleasant man.  I''ll never forget his gardening tips, which I never really understood :)  He will be missed.

Jay was a fine man whom I enjoyed talking with many times. As Patrick''s father-in-law I had the pleasure of attending various Bunn family gatherings and usually sat somewhere on the side of the large crowd, out of the way, with Jay.  Always bright, always cheerful, he was a stimulating conversationalist.  His warmth for everyone and his love for his family and for God was constant.  Anyone who knew Jay will miss him.  Blessings on him, on Barb, and their entire family.

It was indeed a pleasure to have known JB (as we called him at the Yard) for the last 20 years. He was a man who spoke warmly of his family and strongly of his faith in God. He never failed to amaze and amuse with his various ideas, inventions and unique way of looking at life. We will miss you John.

I have known John since 1971, I remember him taking picture of the children at the Union Xmas party with Santa. He will be missed.

Please accept my heartfelt sympathies in the loss of your dear loved one. How comforting in knowing Almighty God has not only the power but also the desire to resurrect our loved ones. Jesus himself said: "Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out." John 5:28,29
