Milton Czarski (Pete) was born on March 7, 1925 to Veronika and Charles Czarski and died peacefully on August 7, 2017. Pete was raised in Baltimore and attended Patterson Park HS. He served in the US Army 1943-1946 becoming a sergeant in the Finance Division working both in New Guinea and stateside. From 1946 to 1987, Pete was a lifetime employee of the Pennsylvania Railroad (later to become Conrail).
Pete was married in 1949 to Bronetta Slaba (Rhoda) with whom he celebrated 67 years of marriage. He was a loving father to Charles Czarski of Lexington, Kentucky and Cynthia McNamara and husband Brian of Annapolis, Maryland. He was especially close to his granddaughter Meaghan Wieand married to Jeff Wieand of Washington DC.
In his retirement, Pete enjoyed traveling with Rhoda, often taking short trips on a moment’s notice. He was an avid fan of Maryland horse racing and often attended races with former co-workers. When Rhoda became ill, Pete was her tireless and constant caretaker for many years.
Pete was preceded in death by his wife Rhoda Czarski, his parents Veronika and Charles Czarski, and his sister Lillian Janowicz.
