Dear Mullenix family,
I am so saddened to learn of Junior's passing.  I have known him all my life.  His family bought my maternal great-grandmother's house and lived across the street from my paternal grandparents.  When I was in high school, Junior started teaching at Lancaster, so I knew him in that role as well.  Tony played with and against him in different athletic contests.  Junior was so gifted and so well liked.
I know he will be greatly missed.  A part of my youth is gone with his passing.
May God grant you all comfort at this time.
In His love,

Tony and Jean (Landtiser) Beeler

We never knew if we should call him Junior or Coach, either way I will never forget him.  I remember shooting baskets in his back yard in Livonia and playing baseball in the park.  Of course, I will never forget that trip to the Missouri final four in 1965.  I think I'll just remember his as a leader of young men and "coach."

Our very deepest sympathy to Junior's Family. We both attended high school at Livonia with Junior. He was a dear friend.

So sorry for your loss.  The community has lost another great one.  I will definitely miss hearing Junior's infectious laugh.  He knew that I as well as him was an avid mushroom hunter and both of us had our "secret" mushroom hunting spots.  He always asked me in the early spring if i was ready to go hunting and when mushrooms were starting to be found he always wanted to beat me in being the first to find a good "mess".  I will miss him!
