I am so saddened to learn of Junior's passing. I have known him all my life. His family bought my maternal great-grandmother's house and lived across the street from my paternal grandparents. When I was in high school, Junior started teaching at Lancaster, so I knew him in that role as well. Tony played with and against him in different athletic contests. Junior was so gifted and so well liked. I know he will be greatly missed. A part of my youth is gone with his passing. May God grant you all comfort at this time. I remember shooting baskets in his back yard in Livonia and playing baseball in the park. Of course, I will never forget that trip to the Missouri final four in 1965. I think I'll just remember his as a leader of young men and "coach." |

So sorry for your loss. The community has lost another great one. I will definitely miss hearing Junior's infectious laugh. He knew that I as well as him was an avid mushroom hunter and both of us had our "secret" mushroom hunting spots. He always asked me in the early spring if i was ready to go hunting and when mushrooms were starting to be found he always wanted to beat me in being the first to find a good "mess". I will miss him! |
