As I travel life's trail fortunate am I my path intersected with Bob Williams. The kind of person who instantly made sure you felt at home. He was always the most gentle, kind, humble and welcoming person. He knew your name and made you feel as though your presence really mattered. He was a father figure to many, the kind of a man that you could look up to. To be with Bob was a joy and his spirit, smile and gentle laugh never faltered. A person may achieve many things in life but Bob's greatest achievement was that of a caring, thoughtful person who looked out for others above self. We could all learn a great deal about what really matters from his actions. Deeds speak louder than words and Bob's rang out loud as a bell on a still summer day. He proudly served our country under fire, saw hellish sights, was wounded in combat, decorated by our country, and the hero seldom spoke of this sacrifice. I have been touched by a great person and will forever be better for it. The Good lord has called home a GREAT man and the gain of the Heavens is certainly our loss.

Jennie ... I was so sorry to hear of Bob's passing. He fought to be with you and his family. While we know that he is with God and is no longer in pain, the hurt is hard for all of you. And for those who knew him.
