I wish to express my greatest sympathy to your family. I first met Duane at the public library where he came in needing great help with his computer skills. Oh, how he brought laughter to me when he would argue with the computer. He was always giving me advice on life and much of it I took to heart! He loved his jokes and was always leaving them on my desk.  He once told me I was like a daughter to him..or grand-daughter, he laughed. He was a great man and I know loved my many. I will greatly miss him.

I hated to hear about Duane.  I will never forget his jokes.  He could always make us laugh.  If you need anything, do not hesitate to call us.  He will be missed by many people.

So sorry to learn of the passing of my old childhood friend.  We lived across the road from each other as children and often played at our house or his.  I especially loved to go to his house, where he lived with his grandmother, and play the old organ in the parlor.

One story I remember was told about him.  When I had my legs broken he came one day to visit.  At the time I was 5 years old and he was 6.  The community had been very kind to the little girl with the broken legs and when Duane saw the many toys and gifts he remarked, "Gee, I wish I had my legs broke."

My condolences go out to the family.  He will be missed.
