Mon February 28, 2011 Mary Lou and I became friends when she enrolled in Tracy School in 1941 just before WWII started Dec. 7, 1941. I graduated from eighth grade the following Spring and we lost touch until the Spring of 1943. My parents moved to North of Galt and I enrolled in Galt High School. Imagine my surprise when Mary Lou rode the same school bus to Fairview School in Myers Twsp.. She also enrolled in Galt High that fall. We both loved music and took piano lessons. She became an accomplished pianist.
Years passed until finally we met again at a gathering of Galt Alumni. My last contact was by phone a few years ago. May she rest in peace in the home "not made with hands." My synpathy to her nephews and nieces.
My last contact with her was by phone a couple of years ago.
