Glenn R. Crawford (82), former Trenton resident - Husband, Father, Grand-Father, Great-Grandfather, retired Rock Island Railroader, WWII U.S. Navy Veteran, and small business owner passed away peacefully at his home in Tucson, AZ on Saturday morning. He was best known by the Trenton Community for keeping their homes clean and their clothes mended, after having served three generations from his little shop known as “Crawford’s Sew & Vac”. He was a long time member of the St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Mr. Crawford was born on October 25, 1928 in Flint, Michigan to Paul and Mable (Kellogg) Crawford.
Glenn is survived by his loving wife Freda (Spencer) Crawford of the home, who was the absolute love of his life for 64 years. She was by Glenn’s side when he went home to Heaven. Glenn & Freda’s four children; Cherie Pedego of Kansas City, MO., Jeff Crawford of Tucson, AZ., Alicia Smargiassi of Tucson, AZ., and Marlena Bedoya of Tucson, AZ. In partnership with his children’s loving spouses, Glenn was blessed and is also survived by five grand children, and four great grandchildren. He has one surviving brother, Lloyd Crawford of Grayling, MI., and one surviving sister Anita Meyer of Troy, MI.
Friends are welcome to celebrate Mr. Crawford’s life with his family. Visitation will be at 1:00 p.m. Sunday July 03, 2011 at Resthaven Mortuary,310 N Hwy-65, Trenton, MO 64683. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be on the grounds at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Letters/cards of condolence may be sent to Mrs. Crawford via the Mortuary. To Glenn, there was no better place on earth than in the Trenton community. He was a faithful husband, mentor to his children, and a friend to many. He will be fondly remembered, and truly missed.

Oh Daddy.....I LOVED you soooooo much! I will so miss you, your voice, your advice, words of encouragement when I needed them, and your loving hand to hold when times were tough. We will ensure Mom is taken care of until she can join you. God Bless you. You are home now.

Cherie and family,
I was saddened to learn of the passing of Glenn. I remember him as a fine man, a good father and a military veteran who served his family, church, community and country with dignity and honor.
