Mrs.  Frances ‘Wilberta’ Ferguson, 84, a resident of Independence, MO. died Thursday Jan. 3, 2019 at 2:33 P.M. at Centerpoint Medical Center, Independence, MO.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2019 at 1:30 P.M. at Edinburg Baptist Church west of Trenton. Burial will be in Pilot Grove No. 2 Cemetery North of Jamesport, MO.
Family visitation will be held Tuesday from 12:30 P.M. to 1:30 P.M. at the church.
General visitation will begin Monday after 10:00 A.M. at Whitaker-Eads Funeral Home, Trenton.
Mrs. Wilberta Ferguson was born March 22, 1934 at Jamesport, Mo. the daughter of Claude and Leland Thomas Royston. She attended Pilot Grove School and graduated from Jamesport High School.
Before meeting Ralph, Wilberta worked at Rosie’s Beauty Shop in Trenton as a beautician.  On Sept. 26, 1954 she was married to Ralph M. Ferguson at the Edinburg Baptist Church.  The next 20 years found her an Army wife following Ralph to Paris, France, Clark Air Force Base, Philippines, Ankara, Turkey, West Berlin, East Germany and several states.   She took care of the family in Trenton while Ralph served 2 tours of duty to Vietnam.  Upon his retirement, they moved to Independence.
Her survivors include her husband Ralph of the home. Sister Neva Fay Whiteaker (Weldon) Schaumburg, IL.  One daughter Debbie Ferguson Mooney and husband Sonny of Sabetha, Kansas, one son Ralph D. Ferguson, Excelsior Springs, MO, two grandchildren Nathan Vandevender, Trenton, and Paul Vandevender (Amanda), Kearney, Mo., four great grandchildren Korbin Vandevender, Eddy, Texas, Ian, Dru, and Zoe Vandevender all of Kearney, MO and many nieces and nephews and families.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Edinburg Baptist Church.

I am so sorry to hear of Aunt Wilberta's passing. I loving called her Aunt crazy. Sorry I couldn't make it to her memorial but my love and sympathy are with you all. God bless to you all in your time of sorrow.
