Mary Ann Allen, an 81 year old Trenton, MO resident, passed away Friday morning, November 2, 2018 at her residence.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Monday, November 5, 2018 at Resthaven Mortuary of Trenton. Cremation will follow the services with inurnment at a later date in Gullion Cemetery in Attica, IA. A visitation is scheduled from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m., Sunday at the Resthaven Funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Alcoholics Anonymous and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home.

Mary Ann Allen was born January 15, 1937 in Donahue, IA to Frank and Margaret (Macash) Gillmor. She graduated from Davenport Senior High. In 1965 she was united in marriage to Dwight Allen in Iowa. After their divorce she was later engaged to Ray Shockey but he passed away prior to their marriage.  Mary Ann worked a number of jobs throughout her life spending most of her working years in food service, waitressing, cooking, and managing Kentucky Fried Chicken in Trenton, before retiring she was an activities aid at Sunnyview Nursing Home.
Mary Ann enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She found great pleasure in cooking for all she loved. She with was also a member of Alcoholics Anonymous, where she made many friends during her 17 years of sobriety.

Surviving relatives include her son Tom Allen and wife Wendy of Knoxville, IA, daughter Tonja Gardner and husband Rick of Independence, MO, grandchildren Ashley Phillips and husband Jared, Madison Beverlin and husband Jacob, Sidney Gardner, Holly Burkhart and husband Bill, Christine Allen, Jared Camden, Justin Colella and wife Jessica, and Tricia Daugherty and husband Mike, and 11 great grandchildren Kammi, Zaylea, Sullivan, Cooper, Mayzee, Taevyn, Wyatt, Kolby, Khloe, Beautrice and Hannah.

Those preceding her in death include her parents, fiancé, and three brothers Jack, Stew, and Bob
Gillmor.
