Edna Lucille Rumbley, a 97 year old Trenton, MO resident, passed away at 3:20 a.m., Thursday, November 01, 2018 at Sunnyview Nursing Home in Trenton.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 5, 2018 at Whitaker Eads Funeral Home of Trenton. Burial will follow in the Edinburg I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Edinburg, MO. A visitation is scheduled from 5:00 until 6:00 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial donations are suggested to either the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home.
Edna Rumbley was born April 2, 1921 in Trenton to Luther and Minnie (Martin) Kackley. She graduated from Trenton High School. On June 22, 1947 she was united in marriage to Ernest Rumbley in Kansas City, MO. He preceded her in death in 1991. During WWII Edna worked in a plant in Kansas City assembling radio parts for aircraft. In her spare time Edna loved cooking and baking. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Trenton.
Surviving relatives include her son Dr. Jerry Rumbley and his sister Beverly Denney and husband Larry of Trenton, 3 nieces Janetta Gardner of Tipton, IA, Patsy Reynolds in Sterling, IL and Vivian Griffin of Rifle, CO, and a nephew Dr. Kevin Kackley of Mt. Sterling, IL.
Those preceding her in death include her parents, husband, three brothers Virgil, L.H., and Jewell Kackley and a sister Elizabeth Urton.
