Polly Ann Johnson, 86, died Saturday, October 13, at the home of her granddaughter and her husband, Anne and Chris Fox, in Kearney, Missouri. For the last ten months of her life, she had been in their care.
Mrs. Johnson was born west of Carthage, Missouri on December 26, 1931 to J. Parker and Mary Craig. She lived in the southern Missouri and Kansas area growing up and graduated from Riverton, Kansas High School. When her father became the pastor of the Church of the Nazarene, the family moved to Trenton.
On April 9, 1950, she and Harold E. (Gene) Johnson were married by her father in the Nazarene Church.  She was a homemaker for all of the couple’s sixty years of marriage.
Mrs. Johnson is survived by her son, David E. Johnson (Nancy) of Cameron, Missouri, daughter, Linda Crawford (Randall) of Kearney, Missouri, sister Peggy Overholt of Springfield, Missouri, sister Janet Rutledge (Ralph) of Riverton, Kansas,  five granddaughters, five great granddaughters and one great-great granddaughter.
She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two infant siblings, sister Judy Miller of Ft. Pierce, Florida and sister Connie Richey of Riverton, Kansas.
Services will be held Saturday, October, 20 at the Church of the Nazarene in Trenton.  Visitation will be at 9:30 and the service will be at 10:30.  The casket will be closed at the start of the service and will not be re-opened. Viewing will be available at the Resthaven Chapel on Friday, October 19, from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 pm for those unable to attend on Saturday.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be given to a memorial fund at the Church of the Nazarene.

Even though I have never met Mrs. Johnson, I feel like I have known her by way of her daughter, Linda Crawford, with whom I worked with for several years.
My condolences and heartfelt sympathy goes out to Linda and family for this tremendous loss. Treasure your memories.
