Clarence McCollum, an 89 year old Trenton, MO resident, passed away at 3:39 p.m., Tuesday, October 09, 2018 at his residence where he was under hospice care.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 12, 2018 at the Trenton First Assembly of God Church.  Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens of Trenton.  A visitation is scheduled from 7:00 until 8:00 Thursday evening at Whitaker Eads Funeral Home of Trenton.  Memorial donations are suggested to the First Assembly of God and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home.
Clarence McCollum was born April 22, 1929 in Houston, TX to Roy Hardy and Dora Ree (Miller) McCollum.  He graduated from Trenton High School with the class of 1947.  From February 7, 1951 until November 9, 1952 Clarence served in the United States Army as a tank gunner during the Korean War.  On June 23, 1953 he was united in marriage to Ruth Marrs in Trenton.  Clarence was a member of the Trenton First Assembly of God Church.  He was also an avid Indian artifact hunter and sportsman.
Surviving relatives include his wife Ruth of the home, son Terry McCollum of Trenton and grandchildren Chelsea Hilsabeck and husband Mason and Karley McCollum both of Trenton as well as a nephew, Jerry Modrell of Kansas City Kansas.
Those preceding him in death include his parents, step father Cecil Ellis, brother Roy Oliver McCollum, sister Gladys Mae Modrell, and half-sister Donna Powell.

So sorry to read about Clarence. Ruth, I am thinking of you and praying for you at this time of loss. Also remembering the rest of the family. Clarence was such a special person and I so admired him for all he became.
