Dorothy Husted a 93 year old Trenton, MO resident, passed away at 10:35 a.m., Thursday, September 27, 2018 at Sunnyview Nursing Home in Trenton.
Funeral services scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Monday, October 1, 2018 at Cat Creek Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Cat Creek Cemetery. A visitation is scheduled from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m., Sunday at Whitaker Eads Funeral Home of Trenton. Open visitation will begin at noon on Sunday.
Dorothy Arlene Husted was born January 14, 1925 in Newton, IA to Clarence and Mayme (Waddell) Hale. After school she moved to Michigan where she met her husband Bobby Milton Davidson. They were blessed with two sons. While there she worked for Shakespeare Rod and Reel Company. During WWII the company transferred their operation to making instrument panel clusters for military aircraft. Later she worked for Allen Test Products in Kalamazoo, MI, retiring after 34 years. In 1974 she married Dale Gowens who preceded her in death and was later married to Chuck Husted.
Surviving relatives include her sons Bruce Davidson and wife Sally of Gilman City, MO and Jerry Davidson of Battle Creek MI, a sister Jane Sawyer of Ottumwa IA, a brother Billy Jack Hale of Plattsmouth, NE, three grandchildren, Graham Davidson of Trenton, Monica Nelson and husband Ryan “Base” of Beresford, SD, and Aaron Davidson of Kalamazoo, MI, and seven great grandchildren Natalie, Keefer, Chira, Hunter, Scott, Jaycee and Keaton.
Those preceding her in death include her parents, husbands, sister Peggy Newell and brothers David and Charles Hale.
