James Lee Hines 65, Princeton, MO, passed away Sunday September 2, 2018 at his home.  James was born March 15, 1953 in Newtown, MO the son of Thomas Eugene and Zellah Fern Hines.  On June 13, 1971 he was married to Mary Ann Stark in Newton, MO.  James loved going to church.  He also loved dances, his 1964 Chevy, any type of mechanical work, and being with Mary and his family.
James left behind his loving wife of the home, son Lee Hines and wife Meletta of Trenton, daughter Cynthia Blake and husband John of Trenton, brothers Tommy Eugene Hines of Jamesport, Ronnie Leon Hines of Trenton, new found brothers, Michael Hines, Paul Hines and Patrick Hines all of Nebraska, and a sister Connie McCully from Nebraska.  James was a proud grandpa of Jacob Lamp, Joshua Jarrett, Elizabeth Jarrett, Casey Noble, Earl Hines, Tyler Hines, Ryan Hines, several great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
James was a lifelong resident of the Princeton and Mercer area.  He retired from the Highway Department after 30 years of service.  James then set about building his dream; to build a shop from the ground up, which is what he did until the very day he died!  James was the best husband, standing by Mary’s side since she has been sick.  He was the best father giving the shirt off his back for his kids if he had too and the greatest grandpa being active in all their lives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a grandson Zachary Ryan Lamp.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 8, 2018 at Resthaven Mortuary of Trenton.  Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.  A visitation is scheduled from 6 until 7 Friday evening at the funeral home.  Open visitation will begin Friday morning.

Jim had recently shared with me that him and Mary had been baptized together and was so happy about that. So are we Jim! Enjoy your eternity in heaven. Our prayers are with those left to mourn this kind man.
